A two-part course: \"The practical smart home \u2014 an IoT course for the everyday user\"<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course<\/strong> was held at the K\u00e4ina Culture and Leisure Centre in two parts<\/strong> \u2014 Part I on 24 January, Part II on 7 February. Six hours each, free of charge for participants. Co-funded by the European Union.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructors<\/strong> \u2014 Ingrid Knuut, lead teacher of the electrical department at Tallinn Construction School, and Egon J\u00f5gisaar, board member of Helmut Electric O\u00dc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aim<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To give the everyday user \u2014 a homeowner, an apartment association member, a business owner \u2014 the ability to assess their own electrical installation critically. To know what to require from whoever carries out electrical work, how to check a contractor's qualifications, and when an installation should not be used at all. And on the second day: what smart home technology actually delivers, and what it does not.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
